About Askaran Binjraj

Our Story

Askaran Binjraj was founded by the Bothra family in the late 1880s. Located in the heart of Dhekiajuli, known as the “Shahid Nagri of Assam”, it grew into the town's first shopping mall offering customers a place to discover unique and timeless fashion.

In the early 1980s, Chandan Mal Bothra took over the baton from his father, Late K. C. Bothra. Over the next four decades, he led the business to greater heights and established a strong example in the garment retail sector.

The family's passion and strength grew further when his son, Vikram Bothra, joined the business in 2013, continuing its legacy while taking it forward for a new generation of customers.

Everything for the Family

Today, Askaran Binjraj is a well-known shopping destination serving customers across Sonitpur district and Assam. From sarees and shirts to lifestyle and household essentials, we offer a wide selection for the entire family under one roof.

Our aim is simple: to provide dependable quality, accessible pricing and a comfortable shopping experience for every customer who visits us or shops with us online.

Growing With Our Community

Alongside our retail operations, our wholesale division serves local shop owners and supports the wider business community. In 2017, we also welcomed Chatar Patar, a 100% vegetarian quick-service restaurant, giving families visiting the mall a convenient place to enjoy flavourful food.
